Cell
In gravure the information being printed is at a minimum depth in the printing form. The printing elements are made up of many small cells, which can vary in shape, size and depth depending on the process and image. In the printing process the cells separated by cell walls are filled with ink release it onto the printing substrate. The deeper the cell, the darker the colour. Cells can be produced by using the direct laser engraving, laser etching, Cellaxy, Think laser or electro-mechanical engraving.
