Moiré is a more or less disruptive pattern formation in multicolour printing. Rosette formation e.g. in offset printing cannot be avoided in normal (amplitude modulated)screenings. However, a moiré can also occur through incorrect screen angles or different screen resolutions (screen clash) during the superimposition printing of screens. In gravure moiré formation can be prevented through different cell forms in four colour printing.
