Common form

If a packaging concept is created for a complete product range a distinction is made between brand-specific, motif-specific and range-specific elements. Motif-specific elements vary from package to package and have to be printed using specific printing forms. In contrast brand and range-specific elements (e.g. logos or colour areas) can be implemented using common forms, if they match exactly in terms of motif status, content and size on every package. Once engraved, common forms combined with different motifs are used and ensure high range consistency without manufacturing fluctuations. If all of the packages in a range are printed sequentially, the common forms can stay in the press, which reduces equipping times and thus increases the cost efficiency
