JTI focuses on Less Smoke Smell cigarettes

The tobacco supplier is to launch LSS Mild Seven cigarettes at key Asia/Pacific airports Japan Tobacco International (JTI) is to launch its Less Smoke Smell (LSS) Mild Seven cigarettes in key airports in Asia/Pacific following their initial in South Korean duty-free. According to the company, JTI is the first supplier to launch cigarettes of this kind in the channel, which were introduced in the Japanese domestic market in 2003. Mild Seven―the top-selling charcoal filter cigarette and the world’s number three brand―has built its reputation in Japan, where it is the number one. The brand is distributed in more than 40 countries and enjoys leading positions in key Asian markets. A JTI spokesperson said: “The LSS cigarette-flavouring technology is embedded in the tobacco and cigarette paper through flavours and leaves behind less tobacco-smoke odour than other products of similar configuration. It is designed to bring innovation and modernism to the travel-retail category.”
