Customer consultant qualification: Printing and substrates, colour management in gravure printing

One of the main goals in the production of gravure printing formes for packaging is trouble-free processing of the cylinders in production printing. Machine setup times play an important role in this respect. Almost 50% of this time is spent on setting up the inks and colour accuracy, hence they are crucial factors for the economic success of the job. Nasty surprises and production printing stops can be avoided by using a suitable colour management system. Colour management does not just involve using colour profiles. It consists of a holistic approach, from consulting to fingerprinting through to the creation and pulling of proofs.

To get acquainted with the entire workflow with respect to colours, substrates and proofs, and to identify and find potential solutions for problems at an early stage. To recognise and avoid errors. Application of colour management and colour formulation as well as procedural parameters.
