Blind embossing

Blind embossing is a special form of debossing and is used for endless structures, for example. The difference is that the embossing cylinder (embossing die) presses the printing substrate against a smooth cylinder. The material is compressed and irreversibly condensed. The smooth counter-pressure cylinder can be a blank steel cylinder or a steel cylinder with a hard compressible polymer surface adapted to the application.
