Carton packaging supplier SIG Combibloc has announced a Real 221 million ($70 million) investment to expand its production capacity by 40% at its Campo Largo plant, ParanĂ¡ state, southern Brazil. The unit currently produces 3.2 billion packs per year, and after the expansion the annual output will hit 4.5 billion units.
The expansion plan includes a new building and equipment to produce packaging, as well as automation of the production lines and a new building especially designed to automatically store printing cylinders.
