Intensive seminar: Measuring and evaluating barcodes

Barcodes of all kinds are now an integral part of packaging. They are used for scanning at the supermarket checkout (point of sale), for the logistics process, for controlling packing machines and for communicating with the end user. For barcodes, great value is placed on good and reliable legibility. Numerous codes for different purposes are introduced. Influences of the printing forme, the colour of the code and background, and the printing and converting process can all cause numerous critical issues that can have a negative effect on the quality of a code. Standardisation of the codes and the measurements themselves play a major role here.
