Intensive seminar: Colour management and measuring technology using ICC and GMG profiles

Colour management plays an important role in the colour conversion of printing data into print. Using fingerprinting and the characterisation data obtained from this process, a colour profile is created for simulating a printing condition. The basic process of colour management using ICC and GMG profiles is demonstrated using examples. A fingerprint print is evaluated and then measured using a spectrophotometer. These values are then used to create both ICC profiles and GMG profiles.

Aim
The basics of colour measurement technology using various measuring equipment/spectrophotometers. Acquisition and presentation of colour values for further use. Applying colour measurements and colour difference measurements. Applying colour difference formulas. Creating, modifying and applying ICC and GMG profiles. Measuring and evaluating proofs
